Charlotte shares pictures of seven-year-old Lois with Melissa Lawley, who gave her a match England shirt and always makes time for a selfie. Beth writes that it is not only girls who are inspired by their heroines: her six-year-old son was taken with Wales international Rachel Rowe during the World Cup qualifying campaign because she never stops running and tackling. Olivia’s favourite is Chloe Arthur, interviewed elsewhere in this issue, after finding out Arthur had played for the same clubs she does at Erskine Youth and Celtic. And Maddie, a twelve-year-old Bournemouth goalkeeper and the first girl picked for her school’s boys’ team, was given Karen Bardsley’s gloves.
