Little Kicks: Born Kicking with Molly, Jessica and Imogen Irwin

The magazine’s young-reader slot, this issue with a hat-trick of Chelsea-supporting sisters from Norbiton in Kingston – Molly, twelve, Jessica, nine, and Imogen, five. Jessica plays for AFC Wimbledon and Imogen for its Wildcats. Molly wants to be a midfielder because she likes being in the middle of things, Jessica prefers defence for the feeling of stopping goals, and Imogen just likes facing forwards. Their heroes range from Kelly Smith, for the impact she had on women’s football in England, to Alexia Putellas, Magda Eriksson, Pernille Harder, Fran Kirby, Millie Bright and Sam Kerr. Between them they once had a photograph with Stamford and Bridget instead of watching the goals, fell over the ball, and hope Spain or Germany do not beat England.
