Lisa Evans: One To Watch (Q&A)

Freshly signed by Arsenal after five years in the German league with Turbine Potsdam and Bayern Munich, Lisa Evans is emphatic that Scotland are not travelling to make up numbers – they are going to show what they are about and show passion. Walking out at a Euros, she thinks, will not sink in until the moment arrives, because Scotland have never played on that stage and it is something the squad will cherish for the rest of their lives. She expects the Tartan Army to travel and a breathtaking atmosphere, describes a close unit that bounces off each other, and is looking forward to measuring Scotland against an England side she knows is good. Her down time will be spent on the PlayStation, with FIFA tournaments planned.
