Kit Check: Lauren Hemp

A Kit Check instalment from the SK Locker Room with the Manchester City and England forward, who had recently signed a two-year contract extension at the club. Hemp’s first boots were her older sister’s hand-me-downs, the first she owned herself a bright yellow pair of Nike T90s, and she now wears yellow Nike Mercurial sock boots, keeping one pair of moulds and two of studs. Her favourites remain the boots bought at Sports Direct with her parents and worn for hundreds of games while at Norwich City’s Centre of Excellence. All her boots carry Hemp on the side, and old pairs go to fans or charities. She owns hundreds of shirts, with her Bristol City debut, England Under-20 World Cup and 2019 FA Cup shirts framed. Before every game she tapes her right wrist, having written BRAVE on it at the Olympics.
