Killie Queen

An interview with the Kilmarnock midfielder who has driven the club’s SWPL2 promotion push with 15 league goals, matched by attacking teammate Cara Gray, and won the division’s Player of the Month award in both November and January. Having led the table for much of the season, Robinson looks ahead to the play-offs after two near misses, a play-off defeat by Dundee United and a runners-up finish, and credits head coach Jim Chapman for rebuilding the academy and recruiting well. She is clear-eyed about the gulf to SWPL1, where six clubs are fully professional and four are not, praises the club’s integration with the men’s side at Rugby Park, and describes her first year teaching PE.
