Keep Kicking (Editor’s Letter)

Jen O’Neill welcomes readers to the ‘final’ issue – the FA Cup final, she reassures them, not the last She Kicks – and promises a bumper Euros edition at the end of June. She makes the case for the Women’s FA Cup Final as the showcase domestic game of the year, sharpened this time by the two finalists having drawn in the Spring Series, though the 5.15pm kick-off is awkward for anyone travelling. She looks ahead to the all-French Champions League final in Cardiff, salutes England’s #unleashfierce squad announcement, the Republic of Ireland players’ stand against the FAI and the USWNT’s improved five-year deal, and marvels at Spring Series coverage on BBC Red Button and 5Live Extra. She closes on Notts County’s demise, two days before kick-off.
