Keep Kicking (Editor’s Letter)

Jen O’Neill opens the World Cup review issue by declining to add to what has already been said about England’s brave and inspiring showing in Canada, pointing readers instead to her tournament blogs. Anyone who went to Canada for any part of it, she writes, was very fortunate: what a time to be alive. She thanks readers for taking part in the magazine’s #SKFANCARD voting through the tournament, which gathered player ratings and feedback and which she hopes to develop for future big games. The letter closes with a call to keep turning out in numbers, playing, coaching, attending and praising the coverage, and urges readers to make a statement about how many people support women’s football by heading to Wembley for the FA Cup final on 1 August.
