Keep Kicking (Editor’s Letter)
She Kicks, issue 25, January 2015 p.3
Jen O’Neill reports that a member of the She Kicks team flew to Ottawa for the World Cup draw and came back full of the buzz of it, with host city and venue coverage to follow as the countdown begins. She reflects on Wembley on 23 November, where the weather and the London transport system let everyone down and England did not produce the performance or result supporters had dreamed of, but is blunt that Germany were good and that England can be better. She flags a slimmer issue, mailed free with the 2015 calendar, carrying more from outside the WSL. The letter closes by naming friends of the game lost during 2014, among them Ken Brown, Hannah Brown and Gero Bisanz, and asking readers to make 2015 a fantastic football year.
