Sheffield FC striker Jodie Michalska, 28, discusses a season in which her club swept all four available trophies at the FA Women’s Football Awards after a treble-winning FA Women’s Premier League campaign. She took the Northern Division top scorer award for the sixth time in eight seasons with twenty goals, five clear of the next scorer, and rates it above the others because she managed it after being dropped back into midfield to cover injuries. Michalska credits manager Helen Mitchell, who she says does every job at the club, and her strike partnership with Carla Ward, formed at Lincoln Ladies. She is frank that the WSL is probably not for her given the travel and time away from four-year-old daughter Faye, and recalls a teenage spell playing sponsored tennis.
