A photo feature marking Het Nationale Voetbalweekend, the Netherlands’ national football weekend celebrating amateur clubs, held on 5-7 June. During the international window at the KNVB Campus, ten Dutch internationals posed in the shirts of the grassroots clubs where they started out. Among them are London City Lionesses midfielder Danielle van de Donk in SV Valkenswaard colours, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Regina van Eijk in SC Woerden’s, Paris Saint-Germain’s Jackie Groenen in VV Riel’s, and Manchester City right-back Kerstin Casparij wearing Heerenveense Boys. Lize Kop, Veerle Buurman, Wieke Kaptein, Dominique Janssen, Marisa Olislagers and Esmee Brugts complete a set of familiar faces in unfamiliar jerseys.
