Jordan’s Back On Track (Jordan Nobbs interview)
She Kicks, issue 32, January 2016 pp.26–28
Arsenal midfielder Jordan Nobbs reflects on an injury-affected 2015 that ended with a Continental Cup final brace. Finishing third in the league is still disappointing after five years at the club, she says, but winning a trophy was a highlight the side had placed pressure on themselves to deliver, and it could not be another year in which people looked at Arsenal and saw no silverware. Her favourite of the two goals was the second, a long-range strike Pedro Martinez Losa and her father had both urged her to keep attempting. On the World Cup she is candid: she would never want the experience taken away, but not being able to train and watching the team walk out was one of the most difficult times she has been through.
