Jill Scott [interview]

An interview with Jill Scott, the 24-year-old Everton and England midfielder, conducted by She Kicks editor Jen O’Neill and billed on the cover as Jill Scott: World Cup & Video star. The introduction presents Scott as a player who will always run her heart out for her team and who is at the heart of the fun at the back of the team bus, and sets up the interview on the back of a 2011 World Cup in which she scored twice, produced a string of fine individual performances and made a series of comic behind-the-scenes team videos. Her selection in the FIFA Technical Study Group’s tournament All Star Team, listed in a panel alongside, is also noted. Scott was named the FA’s International Player of the Year for 2011, reported elsewhere in the same issue.
