Jess Craves Success (Jess Fishlock interview)

Jess Fishlock, approaching a hundred Wales caps and about to become the first Welsh footballer of either sex to reach the mark, says she would give up all her club wins, all her league titles and everything she has achieved to qualify for a major tournament with her country. She is not there to make up the numbers or bring youngsters through, she insists, and believes Jayne Ludlow will get Wales there, noting drily that Wales get tough groups while Scotland always seem to get a nice one. At Melbourne City she stepped into her first managerial job mid-season after Joe Montemurro left, remained top scorer, and steered the side to the championship.
