She Kicks, issue 30, October 2015 p.27
An interview with Aditi Chauhan, who became the first Indian international to play in the FA Women’s Premier League after signing for West Ham United. The 2012 South Asian Championship winner explains that she came to football through basketball, having played at zonal and inter-zonal level at school, and that it was her basketball coach who suggested she trial as a goalkeeper for Delhi. She describes moving to London for an internship after her course at Loughborough and trialling at Millwall, before being told FA rules would not let her play for a WSL club on a student visa, prompting her goalkeeper coach to suggest West Ham. Chauhan recalls excitement and nerves as the bus entered the stadium for her first Premier League match, and is now working on fitness and basics.
