Interview — Jo Potter
She Kicks, issue SK12, February 2013 pp.8–9
An interview with Birmingham City midfielder Jo Potter, who opens by wincing at the silliest thing she has said on television, describing Kaz Carney as ‘quicky’ when she meant quick and tricky, though Gabby Logan laughed it off with her. The BBC first called her up for the 2007 World Cup in China, where she had been in contention for the England squad before injury, and has asked her back ever since, including for the Olympics. She says coaching has taught her to watch the game differently, and that the boys she coaches as an FA Skills coach now recognise her from the FA Cup final and ESPN. On Birmingham she notes only Eniola Aluko has left, with Kirsty Linnett and Katie Wilkinson arriving.
