Match report
International Action: Norway 2-1 England
She Kicks, issue 56, October 2019 p.21
Four days after drawing in Leuven, England lost 2-1 away to Norway at the Brann Stadium in Bergen on 3 September 2019, in a rematch of the World Cup quarter-final England had won 3-0 ten weeks earlier. Georgia Stanway put the visitors ahead inside ten minutes, but Frida Maanum equalised just after the hour and Caroline Graham Hansen won it for the hosts a minute from time. The result gave Norway some redress for Le Havre and gave Phil Neville’s side a second consecutive game without a win as they began rebuilding towards Euro 2021 and an Olympic tournament. She Kicks records the game as a single-page panel with the scoreline, venue and date, alongside a full-page image from the match.
