Four pages on the February 2022 international window, when five friendly and invitational tournaments between them gathered all eight quarter-finalists from the 2019 World Cup. The centrepiece is the inaugural Arnold Clark Cup, won by hosts England with Millie Bright and Spain’s Alexia Putellas joint-top scorers on two: Bright’s volley earned a draw with Canada, Hannah Hampton was excellent on a full debut against Spain, and goals from Ellen White, Bright and a late solo effort by Fran Kirby brought a first home win over Germany at Molineux. Elsewhere a youthful United States squad took a fifth SheBelieves Cup with Catarina Macario named MVP, France won the Tournoi de France, Sweden edged Italy on penalties in the Algarve, and Belgium’s Red Flames claimed their first international trophy at the Pinatar Cup.
