Ingle All The Way (Sophie Ingle Interview)

The Wales captain on a second Chelsea spell steeped in silverware, and on being the least demanding player in a dressing room full of internationals. Ingle describes a pre-season of drips and drabs as the Canadians, the Swedes and the Czech signing arrived, and is blunt about a Champions League group-stage exit the club should have done better in and intends to correct. She talks about Emma Hayes knowing she will stay calm before the big Stamford Bridge occasions, about learning from Scandinavian teammates, and about missing EURO 2022 with Wales but going to watch anyway and taking motivation from it. There is a fine passage on travelling to Chelsea two or three times a week from Cardiff university days because she loved it, money and contracts irrelevant, and on wanting to be remembered as a good teammate.
