Hot Shot Scot (Lauren Davidson Interview)

Lauren Davidson reached fifty goals for Glasgow City this season and is in the hunt to finish the SWPL’s top scorer, which for a winger would mean a lot. She describes herself as athletic rather than skilful, someone who likes to run and stay behind to work on finishing. Two years ago she was driving a Tesco delivery van, greeted at the door with a cheerful Hi son before customers looked up, and was offered a professional contract within two months of returning to City. She credits Scott Booth, Grant Scott and Eileen Gleeson for making her the player she is, rates Leanne Ross as the perfect appointment, and remembers pulling over to take a call from an unknown number that turned out to be her first Scotland call-up.
