She Kicks, issue 45, January 2018 p.41

Catherine Etoe reports on a November of two halves for Hibernian, who lost the SWPL 1 title in a 3-0 home defeat to Glasgow City then beat the same opponents 3-0 two weeks later to retain the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup. Goals from Abi Harrison, a 40-yard wonder strike by Siobhan Hunter and a Rachael Small header saw Hibs win convincingly at Livingston’s Tony Macaroni Arena for a cup double in successive seasons. Head coach Kevin Milne says the gameplan worked and calls himself ecstatic and emotionally drained, admitting he initially wondered what Hunter was doing before her free-kick flew in. Small, a legal secretary by day, describes a dressing-room party and a call from her partner, Hibs men’s forward Martin Boyle. Harrison, who won the SBSSWPL Golden Boot, says she does not care who scores so long as the team succeeds.
