Hat-Trick Heroine: Georgia Stanway (Manchester City, England U-17)

The Hat-Trick Heroine slot features sixteen-year-old Manchester City midfielder Georgia Stanway, who helped England’s U-17s join Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in qualifying for the elite round of the UEFA Euros, with the eight-team finals in Belarus and ultimately the 2016 World Cup in Jordan in prospect. Stanway reports two goals for Manchester City, one in the cup against Everton and one in the league against Bristol, and around sixteen for England against opponents including Holland, Croatia, Estonia and France. She has scored two hat-tricks for England, the first against Russia and the second against Croatia, a game in which she actually scored five. She rates her goal against Holland that secured Euro finals qualification as her most important, prefers her right foot and shooting from inside the box, and names Toni Duggan as her idol.
