Goalgetter: Precious Is On Point (Precious Hamilton, Nottingham Forest)

Precious Hamilton’s breakout season as a striker arrives at 32, and she is the first to say it is not where she expected to find it. She has always seen herself as a number ten rather than a natural goalscorer, and has never set herself goalscoring targets, but Nottingham Forest wanted her up front and she had 22 goals in all competitions by the time of the interview, with the club contesting the top of the National League Northern Division. She is careful to put the start of the season in context: three straight defeats, but during a period of significant transition with a big influx of players, staff and structure that took time to settle. Her record before Forest runs through Derby County, Birmingham City, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Lincoln, Long Eaton, Leicester City and Eastwood.
