The spread marks a change of rhythm as much as a change of season: after two years of summer football and a stopgap Spring Series, the league has moved back to a winter calendar running alongside the men’s game, and these are the images from its opening weeks. The captions play on players’ names without ever printing them, from a Koren-ation to a white-hot moment to somebody named Ashleigh going high, leaving the pictures as pure atmosphere.
