For Kicks & Giggles: Spot The Difference and SK Masks
She Kicks, issue 63, October 2020 p.70
The issue’s puzzle page runs two games, and both are of their moment. Spot the Difference uses a photograph of Nikita Parris with the Champions League trophy after Lyon’s fifth consecutive title – a win she missed through suspension, as the page notes – and hides eleven changes in the doctored version, among them a rabbit in the trophy, a baguette and a missing club badge. The second is new: SK Masks asks readers to identify seven players photographed in face coverings, which in October 2020 was a novelty rather than a nuisance. The answers name Emma Follis, Jess Sigsworth, Lucy Staniforth, Ji So-yun, Leah Williamson, Taylor Hinds and Sophie Baggaley. The magazine explains it would have parodied a well-known children’s logo but could not afford the court case.
