First-Tier Foxes (Remi Allen and Lachante Paul interviews)
She Kicks, issue 67, June 2021 pp.28–31
Leicester City went up as Championship champions in their first season as a full-time club, and two of the squad reflect on it together. Remi Allen, the oldest player and a WSL regular since the league began, says the buzz of winning lasted no time at all for her, and that leaving Reading for her hometown club was a massive risk she took only because they pulled on her heartstrings. Her grandfather drove her to games as a child, and playing at the King Power was for him. Lachante Paul joined from Arsenal at seventeen on a promise that they would be in the WSL within two years, and did not believe it. Both describe a brand-new squad taking half a season to connect.
