FAWPL Cup, Plate and Reserves Cup Finals: Results

The FA Women’s Premier League cup competitions conclude. Coventry United beat Enfield Town five-one in the Plate final, Maz Gauntlett scoring twice, and in the same Hednesford Town double-header Blackburn Rovers beat Bradford City six-nil in the Reserves Cup final, Leah Foster scoring four and taking the player of the match award. The Premier League Cup final between Tottenham and Cardiff, who eliminated Blackburn three-nil in the second semi-final, was still to be played on 8 May, after the magazine’s print date, so the page can only look ahead to it. Photographs from the Hednesford double-header appear in the Snaps and Snapshots gallery two pages later, and the panel shares its page with an interview with Barnsley’s sixteen-year-old County Cup final hat-trick hero Brittany Sanderson.
