Fast Fives: Abi Harrison

The reigning Championship Golden Boot winner and Player of the Year takes the magazine’s short-form questionnaire at the start of a promotion push. Harrison scored 17 league goals in 2021-22, four clear of anyone else, as Bristol City finished third in their first season after relegation and their first under head coach Lauren Smith, and she had become the club’s record scorer that March. Her aims for the new season are to have fun, get promoted and score goals; her biggest strength is determination; and she is happiest playing football right now. She wears number seven for Henrik Larsson and because she was born on the seventh in 1997. Ffion Morgan is the quickest in the squad, Chloe Bull is the group’s mum, and Aimee Palmer is the dark horse who does not get the credit she deserves.
