Fans Forum: who will win FAWSL 1 2014? (Twitter poll)

The Fans Forum slot puts a question to readers on Twitter: who will lift the 2014 FA WSL 1 title, and why, with correct answers entered into a prize draw. The published replies split several ways. Birmingham City draw repeated backing for having no individuals, working hard and playing as a team, with one respondent calling it the year of the underdog. Chelsea are tipped for quality right through the side and for building momentum, Arsenal for talent, youth and Jordan Nobbs returning to fitness, and Bristol Academy for the motivation of having lost out the previous year. Others back defending champions Liverpool, Notts County for a solid midfield trio and promising signings, and Manchester City on the strength of Karen Bardsley. One reader likens the tightness of the contest to Serie A in the seventies.
