Wilf Frith’s round-up of the FA Women’s Premier League divisions at the mid-season point. Middlesbrough hold a six-point lead at the top of the Northern Division with two teams placed to catch them, while reigning champions Blackburn Rovers in fifth and Fylde in seventh each have five games in hand. The Southern Division summit is fiercely contested between London rivals Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace along with C&K Basildon, with Lewes and Coventry United also well placed. TNS lead Midlands Division 1 by a fragile two points from unbeaten Loughborough Foxes, just two points separate Brighouse Town, Hull City and Liverpool Marshalls Feds at the top of Northern Division 1, and AFC Wimbledon and Keynsham Town head the South East and South West sections. A sidebar lists top scorers by division, led by Kerry Bartlett’s 26 for Keynsham.
