She Kicks, issue 28, June 2015 p.7
Goals from Jess Clarke, Ellen White and Dani Buet send Notts County past Everton and into the first FA Women’s Cup final to be staged at Wembley, on 1 August; Ji So-Yun’s finish separates Chelsea and Manchester City in the other semi-final. Charlton Athletic lift the FAWPL Cup, edging Northern Division winners and favourites Sheffield FC 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw, with fifth spot-kick taker Sam Pittuck and goalkeeper Megen Lynch the heroines. Ji So-Yun is named PFA Women’s Player of the Year and Leah Williamson takes the Young Player award. The FA WSL Team of the Year, voted by fellow professionals, is dominated by Arsenal, Notts County and Birmingham City, with Carly Telford in goal and Eniola Aluko and Nikita Parris up front.
