FA Women’s Championship Fast Fives: Sophie O’Rourke (Lewes)

Lewes’s pacey young full-back, known at the club as Nails, takes the magazine’s two-part questionnaire. She rates her own 2020-21 season well, having played a lot of minutes and learned about her strengths and where to improve. She wears twenty, given to her when she signed and now part of her journey there. One-against-one defending is her biggest strength, and she was happiest doing her studies at the John Madejski Academy while playing every day with her friends for Reading, and in her two seasons at Lewes. Her greatest achievement outside football is a Year 2 trophy for the neatest handwriting in her class; she can also juggle. Georgia Timms, her housemate, is nominated as clumsiest, most gullible and most forgetful.
