Eight photographs from six weeks of the FA Women’s Championship, and unlike the WSL gallery earlier in the same issue, every one of them is captioned. Coventry United huddle before kick-off; Liverpool’s Kirsty Linnett ends up riding on Durham’s Sarah Robson; London Bees and London City Lionesses pack the six-yard box for a corner. Durham’s Emily Roberts heads clear, Charlton’s Ria Laudat and Emily Donovan of Lewes are caught in a pose the magazine can only call amusing, and Sheffield United’s goalkeeper Fran Kitching is pictured mid-match. There are Lewes supporters watching from the banks of the Dripping Pan, one of the few crowd images in an issue produced behind closed doors, and the caption notes cheerfully that they will be back soon.
