Eyes on the Prize
Her Goal, issue 5, April 2026 pp.26–32
Chris Brookes meets the Charlton Athletic attacker closing on a first promotion, 13 years after scoring on her Chelsea debut against Everton at 18. Muya describes the Addicks, whose 16-month unbeaten league run ended in March, as the most special team she has been part of, and says she feels dynamic and creative at 30. She traces a winding path from the Chelsea academy under a young Emma Hayes, through Notre Dame, a brief French spell, Orobica and San Marino Academy, to London City Lionesses, with a stint as a trainee business analyst when nothing was working. She corrects a persistent rumour: her parents are Ugandan, not Zambian.
