Everlasting Love (Jo Love)

Glasgow City captain Jo Love marks the start of a remarkable fourteenth season at the club, reflecting on being Scotland’s highest-capped outfield player and an eleven-time league champion. Love discusses adjusting to City’s recent loss of SWPL dominance after fourteen consecutive titles, the return of long-time teammate Lisa Evans from Bristol City, and her role in guiding a squad blending senior figures like Hayley Lauder and Fiona Brown with newer arrivals such as Kimberley Smit. She talks candidly about her working life as a chemical analyst, including producing hand sanitiser during the pandemic, her prized collection of shirts swapped with the likes of Pernille Harder and Alex Morgan, and how her relationship with former teammate-turned-manager Leanne Ross has evolved.
