Eniola Aluko Joins the #100Club
She Kicks, issue 34, April 2016 p.15
Coming on as a second-half substitute in England’s goalless draw with France at the SheBelieves Cup on 9 March 2016, Eniola Aluko became the tenth England women’s international to reach one hundred caps. She describes it as a great moment for her, her family and everyone who has invested in her career over the years, and as one of those rubber-stamp moments in a life when you conclude that all of it, the good times and the bad, has been worth it. She was determined to thank the team-mates she has played alongside for eleven years, a big chunk of her life, saying they all know how much both they and the team mean to her. The page carries a full-length portrait by Brad Smith.
