England World Cup Preview: Carly Telford

Notts County goalkeeper Carly Telford, part of the England squad for the 2007 World Cup and named in the PFA WSL team of the year, prepares for Canada. She has never been to Canada and has always wanted to, so it will be a tick off the list. The thing she cannot travel without is a photograph album her mother made for her, along with letters received from fans through the year, meaningful items she can look at if she is not playing and time gets hard, to remind herself why she is there. What she looks forward to most is going to new countries with some of her best friends, naming Jill Scott, Claire Rafferty, Lianne Sanderson and Steph Houghton. Her brother might travel out, but her parents are working and it is a lot of money.
