Diary Dates Feb/Mar 21

A dated listing of the fixtures and draws scheduled for February and March 2021, published under an unusually frank heading – as currently scheduled – that says a good deal about how the season was being run. It opens with the Continental Cup semi-finals on 3 February, Bristol City against Leicester City and Chelsea against West Ham, and takes in the Euro 2022 qualifiers that would end Scotland’s campaign, the Women’s FA Cup fifth round marked to be confirmed, and the play-off draw in Nyon on 5 March. Both legs of the Champions League round of 16 and the quarter-finals follow through March and into April. Read alongside the news pages that report fixtures being postponed as fast as they were made, it is a calendar written in pencil.
