She Kicks, issue 90, July 2025 p.71
A narrative team preview rather than an interview, asking how close Denmark are to excelling in more than style and sound. She Kicks notes the Hummel shirts and the customary tournament song, supplied this time by the band Blaest, then runs the record: runners-up at EURO 2017, where they knocked out six-time consecutive winners Germany in the quarter-final for the best tournament performance in their history; a deflating group-stage exit in 2022 from a section containing Spain and Germany; and a 2023 World Cup, their first in 16 years, ending against co-hosts Australia in the last 16. Andree Jeglertz’s side were among the first to qualify for Switzerland, winning 3-0 in Belgium before finishing group runners-up to Spain. Jeglertz leaves for Manchester City afterwards, with Jakob Michelsen returning home from HamKam to replace him.
