Coach Kicks: Jazz Hervin
She Kicks, issue 27, April 2015 p.50
Twenty-year-old Jazz Hervin, working with Yeovil Town’s WSL development squad and with Independent Schools FA regional and England Women Under-18 squads while completing her UEFA B licence, answers the magazine’s recurring coach questionnaire. She admires Mark Sampson for the environment he creates and for leading the senior England team so young, which she finds inspiring as a young coach. Her most valued resources are books on mindset, successful working environments and sports psychology, alongside the FA Licensed Coaches Club website and a pen and paper. Her motivational line is let’s make something extraordinary happen, and she repeats let’s be better constantly. She wants players whose aspiration is to be the best they can be, on and off the pitch, and her favourite session to deliver is a game.
