Coach Interview: Dave Edmondson (London Bees)

Dave Edmondson describes a club transformed. The Bees are still semi-professional and train twice a week where Bristol and Melbourne Victory managed three or four, but he stresses they are a whole club now, sharing facilities, medical, sports science and analysis with Barnet. Last year’s change in personnel and culture has made recruitment far easier: players now approach the club saying they like how it plays, which was not true twelve months earlier. He calls the Spring Series the best thing that could have been put in place, an extended pre-season of competitive games in which to bed in signings, though he is not writing it off as a competition.
