Christine Sinclair, Portland Thorns and Canada (poster)

A poster page and fact file for Canada’s Christine Sinclair, then of the Portland Thorns, carrying 275 caps and 178 international goals, WPS championships in 2010 and 2011, NWSL championships in 2013 and 2017, and Olympic bronze medals from 2012 and 2016. Born in Burnaby, British Columbia, on 12 June 1983 and pictured in her number 12, she had played for the Vancouver Breakers, Vancouver Whitecaps, FC Gold Pride and Western New York Flash before Portland. Twice an NCAA champion with the University of Portland in 2002 and 2005, she had been nominated seven times for the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year or The Best FIFA Women’s Player award without ever making the final three, a statistic the page draws out.
