She Kicks, issue 52, March 2019 pp.52–54
A bumper Born Kicking set introduces four young readers. Reese Hopkinson, 11, plays for Leeds United RTC, supports both Leeds and Manchester United Women, wants to meet Messi and names Jess Sigsworth among her heroes. Menna Shirras, 15, is a Blackburn Rovers right-back who supports Manchester City, would pick Kylian Mbappe to meet and Kevin De Bruyne to play alongside, and started playing at five in Germany. Trinity-Faith Nicole Eastman, 8, turns out for Notts County Under-9s, Clifton All Whites Under-9s and Aspire Under-10s, is two-footed, ties her hair like Lucy Bronze and rates Toni Duggan the best female player in the world. Phoebe Andrew, 9, keeps goal for Euxton Girls Under-10s, has met Siobhan Chamberlain and Anke Preuss, and enjoys getting muddy and making saves.
