Born Kicking — Olivia Wild
She Kicks, issue 17, October 2013 p.45
A Born Kicking questionnaire with a 17-year-old right back who has moved from Manchester United’s girls set-up to Liverpool while still supporting United, which she says was tricky at home until her dad got used to it. Olivia Wild is a converted winger who took time to adjust but loves that the modern full back attacks as well as defends. She would meet Cristiano Ronaldo but was thrilled when Rio Ferdinand replied to one of her tweets, gaining her a hundred followers in an hour. She recalls face-planting at The Cliff attempting a jumping back heel in front of watching parents, and lucky match-day knickers destroyed by the washing machine. Lucy Bronze and Alex Scott are her heroes; best friend Katie Zelem, with her since they were ten, is the name she shouts most.
