Born Kicking: Olivia Ball

She Kicks, issue SK14, June 2013 p.45

A Born Kicking page with a 12-year-old spotted at the Soccerex event in Manchester beating all-comers for control and passing on the SOKKA wall. Olivia Ball, known as Bally, plays for the Loreto football team, supports Manchester United and is left-footed, favouring attacking midfield because she likes to get stuck in and score. She describes herself as competitive, strong, skilful, determined and hard working to the end of a game, and would meet Robin Van Persie or play in the Manchester United team. Her heroes run to Roy Keane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, her family and Sir Alex Ferguson, with her dad her biggest fan. She also plays hockey, netball, tennis, athletics and cross country, saying they keep her fit and she loves all of them.
