Born Kicking: Molly Burton

Eleven-year-old Molly Burton from East Sussex, who plays a year up at Under-13 level for Tunbridge Wells Foresters, is the latest young player profiled in She Kicks’ Born Kicking feature. An Aston Villa supporter who idolises Ollie Watkins and Rachel Daly, Burton shares her football superstitions, favourite post-match treat and the funny story of nearly forgetting her boots before a Sussex County Cup final. She also recalls the highlight of walking out alongside Manchester United and England forward Alessia Russo during a Women’s FA Cup tie against her club Lewes, a memory she names as her proudest football moment. The feature continues the magazine’s long-running series spotlighting grassroots talent from its youngest readers.
