Born Kicking: Laila Harbert

Eight-year-old Laila Harbert, known to team-mates as Lays, plays for Chelsea Ladies Under-9s and supports Chelsea. Right-footed, she prefers midfield because you get the ball more, and describes herself as fast, skilful and an attacker. She would most like to meet Messi and would play alongside Eden Hazard and Chelsea’s Hannah Blundell. Blue is her chosen shirt colour. The funniest thing to happen to her in football was treading on the ball and falling over in a game, her pre-match music is Aloe Blacc and her post-match treat banana and ice cream. Her biggest fans are her parents and her heroes are Chelsea, the Premier League champions, and Chelsea Ladies. Her stated ambition is to play for the Chelsea Ladies first team and for England.
