Born Kicking: Florence Zinn

Ten-year-old Florence ‘Florrie’ Zinn is the latest young player welcomed into the Born Kicking arena, having played for Plymouth-based Saints Southwest since the age of five and now turning out a year up for their under-12s, as well as for Cornwall Schools and in mixed football. A boyhood-club Argyle and Tottenham supporter who idolises Beth Mead, Florrie describes herself as quick, creative, smart and skilful, names a shared Boost Duo chocolate bar as her pre-match superstition, and picks a pasty as her favourite post-match treat. She also reveals her most memorable football mishap – turning up in the away kit for a match against her team’s rivals – and predicts Chelsea to win the 2023-24 Barclays WSL title.
