Born Kicking: Caitlin Ann McCracken

An instalment of the Born Kicking reader feature, in which 13-year-old Caitlin Ann McCracken from Edinburgh answers the magazine’s questions for younger readers. She plays left midfield for Boroughmuir Thistle FC Under-13 Purples, supports Chelsea and is left-footed, describing herself as quick, determined and supportive. Lucy Bronze became her favourite player after watching the 2019 World Cup, and is both the player she would most like to meet and the one she would most like to line up alongside at Olympique Lyonnais. Her funniest football moment came when, unusually vocal after being fouled from behind, she yelled at the referee and her startled teammates nominated her for most valuable player.
