Big Match & Dates Diary
She Kicks, issue 74, July 2022 p.6
The issue’s forward diary, running 4 July to 11 September 2022 and unusually crowded with international football. Four continental or global tournaments overlap across one summer: the CONCACAF W Championship in Mexico, EURO 2022 in England, the CONMEBOL Copa America Femenina in Colombia and the Under-20 World Cup in Costa Rica. Then come the pre-season invitationals that were becoming fixtures of the calendar – The Women’s Cup with Tottenham involved, the AMOS French Cup with Manchester United, and the International Champions Cup with Chelsea – before the domestic season restarts, the Barclays Championship on 20 and 21 August, the Genero Adran League on 4 September and the Barclays WSL between 9 and 11 September, under the newly renamed identities reported elsewhere on the same page.
