Big Match/Dates Diary
She Kicks, issue 56, October 2019 p.5
The standing diary maps a dense autumn, from the Electric Ireland Cup final at Windsor Park on 21 September through to the SSE Scottish Cup final on 24 November. Domestically it marks the Continental Cup group games, four rounds of Women’s FA Cup qualifying, and the WSL kicking off on 7-8 September. Internationally it is the start of the Euro 2021 qualifying campaign: the Republic of Ireland against Ukraine and Belarus against Wales in October, then Albania against Scotland, Norway against Northern Ireland, and Northern Ireland against Wales in November. Two England fixtures anchor the period, Brazil at Middlesbrough on 5 October and Germany at Wembley on 9 November, and the diary closes on the first Women’s Football Weekend, 16-17 November.
